Job Summary: The objective of the Patient Financial Representative (Follow Up) is to ensure accurate and timely follow up of accounts billed to Medicare, Medicaid, other government, commercial, managed care, and worker’s compensation. The primary function of this role is to follow up on accounts in order to secure payment in a prompt manner that is in compliance with all government and commercial/managed care payer rules and regulations. Representatives will use work queues to proactively follow up on accounts via telephones, fax and on-line systems and written communications. This may include but will not be limited to patient contact, payer contact, interdepartmental contact, and physician office communications.
