Position Highlights
POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Director of Surgery and Hospital Specialty Clinics is a professional Registered Nurse with current licensure in the State of Iowa. The Director holds 24-hour accountability and is responsible for the management of the departments, their functioning, and the personnel, to ensure the provision of high quality services to its clients in the Operating Room, Recovery Room, Endoscopy Room, and Central Sterile. This position will also provide oversight and service line development for Pain Management Services and Wound Clinic. The focus of this position is on business and service line development. This role is not intended to participate in the routine call-schedule.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Current RN license in the State of Iowa.
RNFA and CNOR desired.
ACLS certified.
BLS (CPR) certified or obtained within 3 months of employment.
Knowledge of surgery, endoscopy, post-anesthesia, nursing principles, and sterilization technology. Knowledge of wound clinic and pain management clinic.
Should demonstrate leadership, managerial skills and possess the ability to make decisions. Ability to apply sound principles of administration and the nursing process.
Membership and participation in a professional nursing organization is encouraged.
Ability to work effectively and diplomatically with medical staff.
