Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Radiation Oncology in collaboration with the Dosimetrists, the Medical Dosimetry Assistant performs pre‑planning and post‑planning tasks that support the radiation treatment planning process. Responsibilities include importing CT simulation scans, generating normal tissue contours, performing image fusions, obtaining and uploading prior treatment records, preparing treatment charts, and assisting with basic treatment planning activities. This role requires foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation therapy techniques, physics, and treatment‑planning technology. The Dosimetry Assistant collaborates closely with Certified Medical Dosimetrists, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, and Radiation Therapists to ensure accurate and efficient workflow throughout the planning and treatment process.
Qualifications: Registered Radiation Therapist with at least 5 years experience, Graduate of Accredited Radiation Therapy program.
