Traveling Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer

Job Description

Join the team as an Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) where you will operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images used by physicians. This opportunity is located in Liberal, KS at a hospital facility. You will collaborate with clinical teams to ensure image quality and patient safety while adhering to department protocols and documentation requirements.


Minimum Requirements:

  • ARDMS certification in a relevant specialty or credentialing from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
  • Current Kansas license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification.
  • Successful completion of at least 2 prior travel contracts. No first-time travelers.
  • Willingness and ability to complete an on-site drug screen and other compliance requirements prior to start.
  • Candidate must reside more than 45 miles from the facility at time of submission. Address and mileage must be listed on candidate profile.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hospital-based diagnostic imaging departments.
  • Prior experience covering on-call shifts and rotating schedules.


Assignment Details

  • Shift pattern: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, rotating as necessary.
  • On-call responsibilities on weeknights, weekends, and holidays (rotating).
  • Representative schedule includes a two-week rotation with assigned working days and on-call coverage (examples include 0700–1930 shifts with on-call periods).
  • May be required to float to other facilities as needed.
  • Facility cancellation policy: facility may cancel one shift every two weeks.
