JOB SUMMARY:

The I/T Educator is responsible for training of staff, new and experienced.  The position will provide education on usage of applications used at Pella Regional Health Center (PRHC) as well as training on updates to the system.  This position will provide ongoing education and a standardized approach of service delivery. 

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct initial and ongoing training sessions for new providers and clinical staff (including nurses, technicians, etc.) on the use of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Provide elbow support and just-in-time training to address knowledge gaps as they are identified.

Develop and deliver educational materials and training programs tailored to the needs of various user groups, with a focus on clinical applications.

Stay updated on system changes and ensure all staff are informed and trained on new features and updates.

Collaborate with other departments to identify training needs and develop appropriate training solutions.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

Clinical experience (e.g., nurse, technician) preferred.

Educational background preferred.

Meditech experience preferred.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including instructional and presentation skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on motivational skills and positive attitude.

Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

Knowledge of trends in computer technology relating to software, including Microsoft Office.

Ability to conduct research into course development and delivery concepts, as well as technical software issues.

Highly self-motivated and directed.

Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
