Job Summary: Participates in the development, implementation, and coordination of assigned OR service line. Meets the orientation, continuing educational needs and competency development of nursing/tech personnel assigned to specialty area within the service line. To serve as consultant in area of clinical specialty. Act as a liaison between Caromont Health Peri-operative Services, service line surgeons and specialty vendors. Provides clinical practice leadership to foster patient safety and an excellent patient experience. Works collaboratively with OR assistant managers in an effort to meet and maintain department quality metrics. Assist with planning and carrying out special hospital and community programs as required.
Qualifications: Current RN license to practice in NC (NC license or multi-state (compact) license). Preferred Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university and CNOR certification (Certification required within 18 months of hire). At least 12 months of operating room and/or Nursing experience in an acute care hospital. Thorough knowledge of general nursing principles methods and techniques with expertise in OR nursing practice. Maintains current BCLS certification.
