The Opportunity:

The Regional Practice Director (RPD) provides strategic and operational leadership across multiple practices within an assigned region, with primary support for practices in the Reading, PA market. This role is accountable for financial performance, operational excellence, client satisfaction, and people leadership across diverse practice environments.

The RPD serves as a visible, hands-on leader, spending approximately 70% of time onsite with practices to coach leaders, assess performance, and drive sustainable improvements—while ensuring alignment with Ensemble’s Core Values and O.N.E. Purpose of Obsession, New Ideas, and Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Financial Leadership

  • Provide oversight for multiple practices to ensure consistent execution of operational standards, quality outcomes, and contractual performance.
  • Own regional performance metrics including productivity, quality, client satisfaction, and margin.
  • Partner with Practice Directors and site-level leaders to identify performance gaps, implement corrective action plans, and sustain improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and corporate responsibility standards.

People & Culture Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop Practice Directors and site-level leadership teams.
  • Model and reinforce The Ensemble Difference by consistently demonstrating integrity, accountability, and respect.
  • Build high-performing teams by setting clear expectations, providing candid feedback, and developing future leaders.
  • Champion a People First, Last + Always culture across the region.

Client & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Serve as a regional ambassador to clients, ensuring trust, transparency, and responsiveness.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align regional execution with enterprise priorities.
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively identify and mitigate operational or performance risks.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Drive operational innovation and best-practice sharing across supported practices.
  • Challenge the status quo by identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to support decision-making and performance management.
  • Demonstrate advanced use of AI and technology-enabled solutions to improve workflows, scalability, and outcomes.

Travel Requirement

  • Approximately 70% travel required to support practices across the assigned region, including Reading, PA and surrounding markets.
  • Travel includes routine onsite presence to coach leaders, assess operational performance, and support client engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle, or multi-site management.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple locations or practices with full P&L accountability.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, ambiguity, and change.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and executive presence skills.
  • Willingness and ability to meet extensive travel requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI and technology to drive process, operational, and performance improvements.

This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
