Performs all CT procedures producing CT radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directed, according to established practices and procedures. Reports to Supervisor or Manager.
Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports, etc. Performs all CT Scan procedures, obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Transports patients to CT Scan room; prepares and maintains room for daily activities. Selects and operates equipment as directed. Assists physician in administering medicines as required. Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations. Performs venipuncture. Requests supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings and workshops. Performs POC Creatinine testing, including blood draw, QC, machine maintenance and competencies. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
