Job Summary: The PGY1 Pharmacy Resident , overseen by the Clinical Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacy Coordinator and other staff pharmacists will undergo a 1 year, intensive pharmaceutical care training program designed to provide the Resident with the skills necessary to be an effective and self-motivated health-system pharmacist. The PGY1 Pharmacy Resident will also routinely serve as a clinical staff pharmacist: providing a wide variety of duties to help meet the pharmaceutical needs of the hospital and it's patients while providing drug-related information to physicians and staff. The Resident will work as a pharmacy intern under supervision of a licensed pharmacist until licensure is obtained.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Pharm D from recognized college or university; eligibility for NC Pharmacy licensure; NC Pharmacy licensure required by August 1; participation in ASHP residency matching program.
