JOB SUMMARY The Dietary Cook at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for supporting the provision of an excellent dining experience by preparing and presenting attractive, safe, and delicious food products for patients, employees, and customers. This role engages food safety and preparation knowledge, as well as strong organizational skills, to execute recipes and operate within guidelines to provide creative, quality meals that meet dietary needs and fuel the organization toward success. JOB FUNCTIONS Production: ? Prepare all food products to ensure quality and safety for patients, employees, and customers. ? Present the food products in an attractive manner with garnishes. ? Plate patient meals correctly in accordance with diet instructions. ? Follow recipes and food guidelines to ensure the best possible product. Sanitation: ? Proper sanitation of equipment. ? Proper food handling practices. ? Proper cleanliness of work areas. QUALIFICATIONS Education ? High School Diploma or GED Equivalent . Required Licenses and Certifications ? Work Experience ? . Prior food service experience. Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities ? Read, write and comprehend written instructions. ? Basic food knowledge and food preparation techniques, sanitation and safe-food handling. ? Able to follow recipes and directions. ? Able to work with others and on their own. ? Abie to prioritize all production to be ready for specific times. ? Abie to follow cleaning schedules. ? Interact with Food and Nutrition employees and customers.
