Job Summary:  Provides leadership, manages, and coordinates activities of multiple units.  Participates in the coordination of patient care and departmental activities consistent with the corporate, division, and departmental mission statement and values. 

Qualifications: 

• Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).    
• BSN preferred. 
• Two years of progressive nursing experience in an acute hospital with outstanding leadership skills documented. 
• Thorough knowledge of specialty nursing principles, methods, and technique. 
• Specialty certification specific to Psychiatry is required within two (2) years of the hire date. 
• Able to deal tactfully with staff, patients, physicians, ancillary professionals, and families. 
• Considerable ability to manage, coach, and provide a motivated environment. 
• Must maintain BLS certification.
