Must be licensed as RN for one (1) Year. One (1) year of Critical Care, Cardiac, ER or Endoscopy experience preferred. EKG class must be completed within 90 days of hire
Certifications, Licenses or Registration required:
Valid RN license. ACLS and BLS within 90 days of hire.
Knowledge of clinical nursing care procedures and protocols. Verbal and written communication. Ability to work in a team environment. Must possess technical skills required to administer conscious sedation in accordance with the MS Board of Nursing position statement and facilitate the care of critically ill patients including management of central lines, arterial lines, handle ERCP wires, catheters and maintain aseptic technique. Must be able to maintain sterile field while assisting physicians with sterile procedures. Must maintain competency of all equipment used in emergent endoscopic procedures.

Requires frequent exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, frequent handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, constant exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations, frequent working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, frequent activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, frequent bending, frequent lifting and carrying more than 100 pounds, occasional climbing, occasional crawling, frequent crouching/stooping, occasional driving, frequent kneeling, constant pushing/pulling, constant reaching, occasional sitting, constant standing, constant twisting, and constant walking. (occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more)
