Are you interested in helping people? Coulee Medical Center’s Patient Financial Services department has an opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team! This position is responsible for helping patients navigate through the complex healthcare system to receive the necessary care while educating patients on their financial obligations. This includes assisting patients with insurances, third-party assistance programs, and/or financial assistance/charity care, and providing out-of-pocket price estimates for upcoming services/procedures. The Patient Financial Services Specialist is also responsible for the billing and collection of self-pay balances on patient accounts and maintaining positive patient relations. This individual must be able to provide a courteous, compassionate, and positive attitude when working with our patients; and must also be organized, and adaptable, with a problem-solving mentality. Qualifications
2 years’ of experience in the medical billing or financial counseling field is preferred.

Pay/Grade Range: The pay grade range for this position has been finalized for the facility according to an evaluation of the roles’ duties and requirements. The selected candidate will be placed within the appropriate range based on job knowledge, skills, education and experience.

Amid the stunning scenery of the Columbia Basin, along the banks of Lake Roosevelt and Banks Lake, and in the shadow of Grand Coulee Dam, sits Douglas, Grant, Lincoln and Okanogan Counties Public Hospital District # 6 doing business as Coulee Medical Center. CMC is a progressive, not-for-profit, 25 bed critical access hospital, located in rural Eastern Washington’s Grand Coulee Dam Area.
Coulee Medical Center boasts a state-of-the-art new facility built in 2011 that offers patients the highest quality of care with services on-site including Lab, Radiology, Family Medicine, Obstetrics, Urgent Care, Trauma Level IV Emergency Services, Surgical Services, Outpatient Services, Inpatient and Long Term Care, as well as Physical Therapy. We have two rural health clinics, one on-campus and the other located 25 miles to the south in Coulee City. CMC serves four counties and a population of approximately 8,000 people, with 6 physicians and 7 mid-levels on staff. We also host visiting specialty physicians providing orthopedic, podiatry, cardiology, oncology, and sleep medicine services.
Our care extends to not just the five area communities of Electric City, Grand Coulee, Coulee Dam, Elmer City, and Coulee City, but also into the rolling wheat fields of outlying areas covering more than 50 miles in all directions and including the Colville Tribal Reservation to the north.
