Responsible for collecting data required for confirming scheduled appointments for outpatient hospital services directly from the patients, as well as referring physician offices. Also responsible for collecting required patient demographic and financial information and creating a complete registered account for scheduled visits. Other duties involve are performing medical necessity checks, verifying insurance coverage, collecting insurance copays, and sometimes verifying that prior approval has been obtained. This position is the liaison between the order physician’s office and other departments within Iredell Health System.
Shift: M-F, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
