Responsible for collection and processing of information required to complete patient registration for Island Health services while providing excellent customer service. Responsible for performing quality registrations, providing customer service to internal and external customers as well as multiple clerical duties.
Duties:
Assist in patient registration. Obtain specific information from patients, such as demographics, insurance coverage, and/or financial information required to accurately complete all types of registrations including Inpatient, Outpatient, ER, Observation, Client and Recurring patient visits for Island Health services. Obtain necessary signatures on forms.
Process diagnostic orders into Meditech, including entering billing codes & obtaining signed ABN’s when necessary.
Verify insurance eligibility using electronic resources. May require phone calls to obtain necessary account information to assure registration is complete & accurate.
