Prepares, applies and removes casts, splints, and/or orthopedic soft goods, and performs other orthopedic procedures as directed by physicians, certified orthotists and/or general supervisor. May be responsible for inventory maintenance and dispensing of orthopedic supplies to healthcare personnel and patients.
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS Education
- At least a high school diploma or GED.
Experience
- Two (2) years of patience care experience.
Equivalent Education and/or Experience
- May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.
Certification/Registration/Licensure
- Prefer certification by the National Board for Certification or Orthopedic Technologists (NBCOT) or American Society of Orthopedic Professionals (ASOP) OR obtain certification within 24 months of employment to prepare, apply and remove orthopedic soft goods, splints and other orthopedic procedures OR has documented...
