Job Description: Responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving the needs of patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director (possibly with guidance from an LPN) to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Duties will vary by patient care unit/department and include but are not limited to: Providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs, providing comfort care and other assistance, appropriately and safely transferring patients, taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping, recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process. Housekeeping Aide (Part Time) Provides preventative and corrective cleaning in patient rooms, nursing areas, ancillary departments, offices, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairwells and other areas using established cleaning procedures and chemicals. High dust ledges, disinfect horizontal surfaces, fixtures and furniture, empty and clean waste baskets and replace liners, vacuum carpets, clean surgical rooms as needed, dry mop and mop floors, empty outside waste containers and pickup debris from grounds, spray buff floors/top scrubs floors/ strip floors, wash walls as needed, pickup and package regulated medical waste, empty soiled linen hampers as needed and place in soil utility room, and perform other duties as needed or as directed by supervisor. Part time 55 hours per pay-period 7:00am-1:00pm
