Position Summary: Responsible for providing a full range of therapeutic services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position’s qualification, professional practices, and ethical standards. The speech therapist shall also demonstrate accountability for the contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion. Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) both identify and treat communication problems related to language and speech, as well as various swallowing issues. Working with patients of all ages, Speech Language Pathologists seek to improve communication skills through vocal exercises and cognitive therapies and work on swallowing deficits through various interventions.
