Overview: Providing technical and clerical assistance in imaging to include patient flow activities, patient screening, assisting patients, maintaining supply, and assisting technologists as needed. Provides functions associated with remote cardiac monitoring when patients are off nursing units in MRI. Responsibilities: 1. Thorough knowledge of patient care. Responsibilities The Certified Surgical Tech First Assistant (CSTFA) works as a member of the perioperative team under the direction of the surgeon. He/she performs responsibilities of both the Surgical Technologist and the Surgical First Assistant based on department needs and as directed by the department leadership.
