Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Medicine PRN/Hourly Job Type: PRN/Hourly | 12-hour shift per pay period Department/Unit Summary The Adult Psychiatric Unit is a 29-bed locked unit. The unit provides comprehensive mental health care to individuals between the ages of 18-59. Individuals over the age of 59 are evaluated for admission on an individual basis. Patients admitted to the unit have a primary DSM 5 diagnosis/es. However, patients may also have additional diagnoses, including, but not limited to Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, medical comorbidities, etc. Patients must be medically stable as a criteria for admission. Safety practices include 15-minute safety checks, staff monitoring of all community areas and staff presence during meals and visiting hours.
