Overview Obtains blood specimens from patients and delivers specimens to the laboratory and/or sends through the transport system.  Correctly identifies patients and specimens. Qualifications Education High School diploma or GED required. MLA certification from a nationally recognized credentialing agency (i.e. ASCP or AMT) preferred. Overview Performs activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment. Responsible for the testing of WAIVED laboratory tests, as well as setting up Microbiology specimens for culture.
