This Pharmacist position will provide comprehensive pharmacy services including anticoagulation education and management to adult patients in an Ambulatory Clinic setting. Services may include Medication Therapy Management, pharmacokinetic/anti-coagulation monitoring, clinical interventions, cost-effective care analysis, teaching, precepting pharmacy residents, and pharmacy representation in Medical Center Committees.

The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum salary for this position will now be $104,697/year. All pay rates will be based on candidate’s experience.

Provides Pharmaceutical Care to patients in an inpatient hospital setting. Compounds and dispenses medications upon receiving written (i.e. electronic) orders from physicians. Provides supervision of technical staff and confirms the quality and accuracy of dispensed products. Maintains inventory and records on narcotics and other forms of drugs. Reviews and interprets prescriptions and drug profiles to ensure appropriate drug therapy has been prescribed and ensures that drug interactions are considered. The Pharmacy Director of Oncology Operations is responsible for oncology and infusion pharmacy support across UK HealthCare Chandler, including 4 compounding locations, 6 outpatient infusion locations totaling 65 infusion chairs, and  the inpatient Markey Cancer Center service line.  The Director has accountability for staff, services provided and level of performance within assigned areas, and managing operations within budget. The Director will work with multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment to ensure compliant and efficient medication distribution and pharmacy operations throughout UKHC and the Markey Cancer Center. The Director will collaborate with other department managers to develop and implement new services and will ensure the integration of pharmaceutical care throughout the Enterprise.
