The Nursing Supervisor, a Registered Nurse, supports the Director in twenty-four hour responsibility for the management and operation of the assigned units. The Supervisor serves as a professional and clinical role model while being involved in direct care provision as needed and by supporting the Director in coordinating the operations and functions of the unit. This includes supervisor of the charge nurse or coordinator, clinical and ancillary staff; supporting coordination of patient flow, scheduling, and daily tasks. The Supervisor assists and collaborates with the Director in assuring the quality of care provided which includes the supervision and direct management of patient care.
