Job Summary Provides therapeutic massage as an adjunctive therapy to patients. As part of an inter-disciplinary healthcare team, provides therapeutic massage services based upon physician orders and patient assessment, and in accordance with the patient care policies and  procedures. Monitors patients for effectiveness of therapy, as well as adverse reactions.  Applies knowledge of growth and development to appropriately care for patients served. Performs setup, monitoring and maintenance of equipment and supplies utilized in the provision of therapeutic massage services. Monitors safety practices in the work environment and reports areas of concern. Educates patients/families/significant others about therapeutic massage-related topics.
