Responsibilities The primary purpose of the EKG Technician position is to perform electrocardiograms (EKG) to obtain a graphic tracing of electromotive variations and impulses of the heart as observed by the Cardiovascular Coordinator. Possesses the ability, education, and experience required to meet the needs of the population served (all ages, newborn to geriatric). Measurement criteria is “as observed by the Cardiovascular Coordinator or Chief Technologist” unless otherwise indicated. Qualifications High school or equivalent certification program required. Certification in electrocardiography must be demonstrated by completion of an accredited school/program. Certified in electrocardiography preferred.
