As an assistant to the Respiratory Therapist, the Cardiopulmonary Technician will primarily be responsible for performing 12-lead ECGs and Rhythm Strips in the Chandler Emergency Department according to department standards. The Cardiopulmonary Technician is responsible for interpreting the validity of the results by evaluating basic cardiac physiology. The Cardiopulmonary Technician ensures consistent communication of test results to the registered nurse and physician as well as the Respiratory Therapist. The Cardiopulmonary Technician will document according to department standard and report any problems to a registered nurse or physician. The Cardiopulmonary Technician collaborates with respiratory therapy and nursing staff to ensure 12-lead ECG tests are performed on time.
