PURPOSE The X-Ray Technologist performs imaging exams to assist in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This role involves positioning patients, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of images. The X-Ray Technologist typically reports to the Director of Radiology and works closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. RESPONSIBILITIES Patient Preparation and Positioning • Explain imaging procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation. • Position radiographic equipment at the correct angle and height over the appropriate area of the patient's body. • Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
