Unit Description: The Infusion Nurse in Ambulatory Oncology provides chemotherapy and biologic therapies to adult patients with complex illness.  Key aspects of this direct-care role include insertion of peripheral intravenous catheters; establishing access via utilizing implanted devices; administration of systemic chemotherapy and biotherapies; supporting the infusion patient who is participating in clinical trials; and comprehensive patient assessment and education.  The incumbent will work a combination of 1 weekday either Fridays or Mondays from 7am - 7:30pm, and 1 weekend day either Saturdays or Sundays from 7am - 3:30pm.
