JOB SUMMARY Works under the supervision of the Radiology Director and the Staff Radiologist. Performs a variety of Diagnostic Ultrasound procedures including abdominal scans, obstetric and gynecological scans, small parts, and vascular scans. utilizing all aspects of diagnostic ultrasound equipment. Operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. Requires completion of an accredited program in Medical Sonography. Requires registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
