Job Summary:
The pharmacy technician assists pharmacists in medication distribution, preparation & charging. They ensure integrity of medications by performing routine quality assurance.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
Delivering filled orders, inputting supply orders & charges.
Filling automated dispensing machines accurately.
Filling departmental orders.
Resolving missing doses with investigation.
Printing new label, obtaining R.Ph. approval & delivering final product.
Delivering filled orders of all types to the correct location.
Answering phone correctly as pharmacy tech as required by the State of Indiana.
Taking complete messages including phone numbers & name of caller.
Teaching and communicating with students.
Answering questions within Tech scope & knowing when to refer on to R. Ph.
