Overview The Procedural Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing. The procedural nurses works directly with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, congestive heart failure provider, cardiac nuclear medicine, electrophysiologists, interventional radiologists, cardiac rehab, pulmonologists. This position includes ambulatory nursing skills as well as procedural nursing skills. Skills include starting multiple IVs per day, telephone triage, cardiac rhythm interpretation, assisting in sterile procedures.
