SHIFT M-F, 8-hour shifts Ranging from 7:00AM-5:30PM No Weekends/No Holidays PRIMARY FUNCTION To assist the surgical team, under the direction of a professional nurse, in providing skilled care for any patient undergoing surgical procedures. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates proficient clinical skills in the scrub role. Demonstrates ability to scrub on a wide range of procedures, specific to the unit specialties. Demonstrates solid knowledge, skills, and abilities related to the handling of instruments/equipment in the OR and aseptic technique. Demonstrates openness to learning scrub techniques for new procedures and new instrumentation/equipment and receiving feedback concerning clinical skills. Actively works with leadership to identify own learning needs and seeks opportunities to meet these learning needs.
