Overview The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is committed to our Nursing Professional Practice Model; we believe in caring relationships with our patients, families, community, and colleagues to provide exceptional care. In PCU, our dedicated nursing staff, nurse leaders, interdisciplinary team members, and physician partners practice in an eighteen-bed, intermediate care unit providing specialized medical and nursing care by a highly-trained staff utilizing the most current technology and equipment. Medical diagnoses include but are not limited to stroke, transient ischemic attack, seizure, syncope, dizziness, encephalopathy, renal failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-operative neurosurgical procedures.
