PRIMARY FUNCTION: The position carries a duel role with primary functions covering both nursing and clerical responsibilities. Under nursing, the primary function is to perform hygiene/comfort measures and selected nursing and phlebotomy procedures for patients under the supervision and direction of the professional nurse. When in the clerical role, the primary function is to promote proactive administrative services such as that of a receptionist, registrar, data entry clerk, order entry clerk and liaison to ancillary departments and outside agencies to facilitate effective patient care.
