JOB SUMMARY The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) assesses, plans, implements, and collaborates with other providers to ensure excellence in patient and family care during pre-hospital emergency care and during transportation to a medical facility. The EMT may also assist with the medical treatment of patients in other departments of CCH under the direction of the MD and RN within their scope of practice as defined by the State of Wyoming. Works in conjunction with the EMS Medical Director and for the EMS Manager within guidelines of the EMT certification. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs medical and trauma patient assessments, establishes care priorities, and renders necessary and appropriate care within policy, protocol, and scope of practice.
