Responsibilities The primary purpose of a Respiratory Therapist Registered (RTR) position is to provide direct patient care. Upon the order of the physician, administers pulmonary therapeutic, diagnostic procedures and sets up, operates, monitors and manages various types of respiratory equipment to be utilized in the treatment, management, control and care of patients of all ages with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardio respiratory system. Works primarily in the Intensive Care unit (ICU), collaborates with nurses and physician in the implementation of individualized care plans. Qualifications Must possess the ability, education and training required to meet the needs of patients of all ages based on age and developmental status.
