Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse position for Medical Special Procedures is to be responsible for the care of pediatric and adult patients undergoing endoscopic and other gastro-intestinal related procedures during the pre-procedural, procedural and post-procedural phases. The nurse delivers care through the use of the nursing process as reflected in SGNA’s Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice and Role Delineation Statements in a manner that is cost effective without compromising quality of care. Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Endoscopy Technician position is to assist in the performance of all procedures in the endoscopy unit involving quality patient care. Under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse, performs various duties to assist in Endoscopy Procedures and other related Special Procedure activities. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent required. Certificate for Endoscopy Technician required. Applicants who do not possess required certificate, must have two (2) years of Endoscopy related experience.
