The Emergency Department at Plainfield is a free standing 12 bed unit, part of Backus hospital’s emergency room that cares for patients across the spectrum of age, health, education, etc. The staff includes Registered Nurses, emergency department technicians, Unit Secretaries, Physicians, Mid-Level practitioners, support staff, Public Safety Officers, and in-department radiology. The Emergency Department is equipped with all tools needed to safely care for any patient from central station cardiac monitoring to ultrasound equipment, to our EHR (Epic ASAP).
