AICU is the only adult critical care unit at the Women/Children campus. The AICU offers a challenging workflow for RN’s.  AICU receives a variety of patients that includes primarily critical Medical patients, but also Antepartum, Postpartum, GYN Oncology, GYN, ENT, and any adult patient at WC that requires intensive monitoring.  The RN’s in AICU are trained to care for a variety of critical situations including hemorrhage, critical OB, CRRT, ventilators, and titrating drips.  We have 4-beds wired for fetal monitoring that is monitored by an L&D RN on our campus for our critical Antepartum patient.
