Overview The Emergency Medical Tech.- BASIC performs a wide variety of patient care activities related to patients being treated and transported to the hospital by ambulance. The EMT-BASIC also performs the responsibilities of driving emergency vehicles providing due regard for the safety of others while operating the ambulance.
