Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Neurophysiology Technologist I position is to conduct Electroencephalogram (EEG), Video EEG Monitoring, Ambulatory EEG Monitoring and Evoked Potential examinations. Learns to perform all other Neurophysiology tests (TCD, NCS and Intra-Operative Monitoring). Possesses the ability, education, training and/or expertise required of a Neurophysiology Technologist to meet the needs of patients of all ages (newborn to maturity). Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent GED certification required. Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Chief Neurophysiology Technologist position is to supervise all laboratory personnel. Also, supervise technical activities of the laboratory, directs related clerical activities, helps in training activities, evaluates requests for Neurophysiology tests (EEG, Video EEG Monitoring, TCD, EP, NCS/EMG), advises the physician regarding the procedures and test designs necessary to complete them. Determines and programs the test and equipment which will be necessary to complete the diagnostic studies. Evaluates the test results and determines if they are adequate for interpretation. Is prepared to perform or assist in the performance of all procedures. Possesses the ability, education, training and/or expertise required of a Senior Level Neurophysiology Technologist to meet the needs of patients of all ages (newborn to maturity).
