The position is open for a Physician Assistant in the division of Neonatology and Newborn services. The Physician Assistant in Neonatology will perform a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for patient admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and outcome evaluation under the general administration of the Director of Neonatology & Newborn Services. The Physician Assistant will also participate in performance improvement, research, and educational activities.

Start Date: Mid-August 2025 Schedule: Weekend coverage preferred; 12-hour or 24-hour shifts available Practice Setting: 16-bed Level III NICU 3 full-time neonatologists and 6+1 per diem pediatric mid-level providers Average census: 8 9 patients Average admissions: 0 2 per shift Night coverage includes Level I well-baby nursery issues Neonatologist on-site during days and on-call 24/7 Responsibilities: Attend all C-sections Supervise NICU RNs and ancillary staff Perform NICU-level procedures including: Intubation, BiPAP/CPAP, Chest tube insertion, UAC/UVC placement, LPs, arterial/central lines, Exchange transfusions, Management of acute hemodynamic/volume issues No neonatal transport duties EMR: Epic
