The Neonatologist delivers high-quality, evidence-based care as part of a team with neonatal nurse practitioners at a 25-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for critically ill and high-risk newborns. This role is responsible for promoting a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous quality improvement while delivering exceptional patient and family centered care. In addition, the role oversees newborn care across all Asante facilities and accepts transfers from our service area of Southern Oregon and Northern California. In addition to providing direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, ongoing management, neonatal resuscitation, and emergency response the physician collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize clinical outcomes and care transitions.
