Overview About the Role   The primary purpose of the Accession Area Technician position is to facilitate the flow of work through the Accession Area. Responsible for entering orders and scanning specimens for laboratory tests into laboratory information system (LIS) via a computer terminal. Responsible for retrieving laboratory data from the LIS in order to respond to inquiries from the clinical units concerning test results. Responsible for maintaining working knowledge of the Laboratory and the Hospital Information Systems. Overview About the Role The Cardiovascular Technician plays a key role in delivering hands-on patient care, assisting with Cath Lab procedures by serving as a scrub technician, monitoring hemodynamic and physiological data, and helping prepare the procedure room, including setting up the table and equipment. All tasks are performed under the guidance and supervision of a Physician and Registered Nurse.
