Position Overview: we are looking for a pediatrician for the Outpatient Department of a critical access Tribal hospital located on the Navajo Nation. This clinician will care for children and adolescents living in Navajo Nation. Common conditions seen include upper and lower respiratory illnesses, rashes, GI concerns, and growth and development issues. Conditions specific to children on the Navajo reservation include high rates of hyperbilirubinemia in neonates; high rates of dental caries, obesity, pre-diabetes, and diabetes; and rarely, SCID, hantavirus, and coccidioidomycosis. Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. The hospital is open 24 hours every day.
