Description Summary: The Physical Therapist has the responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing care for the patients assigned to physical therapy. The Physical Therapist is responsible for adhering to all standards of Physical Therapy Practice Act as they apply to providing technical therapy care, supplies, equipment, and interventions to a designated patient population. Job Description: This position transports patients to and from the O.R., handles routine tasks related to patient care, organizes equipment, and provides general cleaning of surgical suites. Scheduling Details Shift is day shift or mid shift. Either 4 - 10 hour shifts or 5 - 8 hour shifts. Scope 1. Assists with transporting patients to the OR holding area, assisting with lifting, positioning, and/or transferring patients as indicated. 2. Consults with the Anesthesiologist and RN as appropriate to determine the equipment, set- up and supply requirements prior to the start of a procedure. 3. Processes post-surgery case-carts when assigned including but not limited to discarding sharps, emptying suction canisters, disseminating unused supplies and sending carts to Central Processing. 4.
