DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Staffing Coordinator is designated to ensure proper staffing for Nursing Admin.
SUPERVISION: Reports directly to Director of House Supervision
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Assess, evaluate and calculate daily staffing needs (to meet core staffing needs) of each inpatient unit in the organization.
Receives all employee (patient care areas) call-ins and adjust schedules to maintain suitable staffing levels.
Schedules and assigns delivery and pick up for the Courier.
Staff and document charges for all inpatient 1:1 sitters.
Receive transfer request from outside facility and coordinates with House Supervisor, Hospitalist, and Specialist to facilitate transfer.
Coordinates and distributes Pizza for Pizza Fridays.
Filing/organizing paperwork.
Receiving and faxing work excuses to HR.
Ordering office supplies.
Ordering patient nutrition for after hours.
Tracking durable medical equipment (SCD machines, wound vacs, etc.)...
