The Floor Tech cleans and services all areas of the hospital and buildings owned by the hospital.  They arrange furniture in an organized and orderly fashion.  They keep all equipment and storage areas clean and organized.  They perform a variety of related duties.  The floor Tech scrubs, strips, refinishes and buffs floors routinely.  They also collect and remove all waste accurately.  They shampoo, scrub and/or extract furniture and carpeted areas.  Has no access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities. Job Summary:   To perform a variety of technical, clerical, and related duties in connection with the activities of the hospital pharmacy; utilizes automation to credit or charge medications to patient accounts;   fill requisitions and deliver drugs to nursing units; assist in checking, ordering, and storing floor stock items; and dispense medications under direct supervision of a pharmacist. Qualifications:   Completion of 12th grade (high school or equiv);    Six months prior pharmacy work experience preferred;   Some ability   to perform accurate calculations and reports.   Some typing skills; Annual Registration with the NC State Board of Pharmacy is required. .   A new Pharmacy Technician hired but not already registered with the NC Board has 30 days from hire date to comply. Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is encouraged.  Once CPhT is obtained, promotion to Tech II status will be considered.   EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability
