PRIMARY FUNCTION To assist the surgical team, under the direction of a professional nurse, in providing skilled care for any patient undergoing surgical procedures. SHIFT: 40hr/wk 2 shifts of 7a-3:30p and 2 Shifts of 7a-7p per week 1-2 Spring/Summer Holiday Holiday commitment : 1 Fall - 1 Winter Holiday Weekend commitment: - every 4th weekend PRN 2-3 shifts per month Trauma Call - 1 per month PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates proficient clinical skills in the scrub role. Demonstrates ability to scrub on a wide range of procedures. Demonstrates solid knowledge, skills, and abilities related to the handling of instruments/equipment in the OR and aseptic technique.
