Responsibilities The position of Chief Nurse Anesthetist is responsible and accountable to the overall operations and management of the CRNA staff, including hiring, evaluating, and mentoring. Collaborates with the Chair of the Anesthesiology Department in developing, interpreting, and applying department policies, budgets, and long-range plans. Analyzes and evaluates activities to assure established quality patient services and plans appropriate utilization of staff time and capabilities. Coordinates these activities with other hospital departments. The Chief Nurse Anesthetist will demonstrate professional and clinical leadership, expertise, and judgment.
